Inkjet printer's print head carriage is jammed

Symptoms

2. Visually inspect the full width of the rail for any visible paper scraps, foreign objects, or obvious obstructions and remove them by hand.
3. Gently try to slide the carriage by hand (with the printer off) to feel for resistance and identify where it's sticking.
4. Wipe the metal rail the carriage rides on with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove dried ink or dust buildup.
5. Check that both ink cartridges are seated fully and evenly, since an unseated cartridge can throw off the carriage's balance.
6. Plug the printer back in and power it on to see if it can now complete its normal initialization movement.
7. If it jams in the same spot repeatedly even after cleaning, this points to a mechanical issue with the belt or motor rather than debris.
