Power window stuck down and won't go up

Symptoms

Likely causes

3. Try the switch from both the door itself and the master switch (driver's door) to rule out a bad individual switch.
4. Listen for any motor sound at all when pressing the switch; a silent attempt suggests electrical, while grinding suggests mechanical.
5. Try gently pushing the glass up by hand while pressing the switch, in case it's just off-track slightly.
6. Have a shop diagnose and replace the regulator or motor if basic checks don't resolve it, since the door panel needs to come off either way.
