Android wireless charging not working

Symptoms

• Phone doesn't show any charging indicator on a wireless pad

What to do

1. Remove the case and any attached accessories like rings or wallets from the back of the phone.
2. Center the phone carefully on the charging pad, matching its marked charging spot if there is one.
3. Check the charger's rated wattage and the wall adapter powering it; use the adapter it came with if possible.
4. Wipe both the phone back and the charging pad clean of dust or debris.
5. Watch for the charging icon or sound within a few seconds of placement.
6. Try a different Qi-certified wireless charger if one is available to isolate the cause.
7. Try the phone's normal wired charger to confirm the phone itself can charge normally.
8. If wired charging works fine but wireless never does, the wireless charger is the likely fault.
