What to do

- Confirm the machine's main power switch, if it has one, is in the on position.
- Look for a small fuse door on the machine (check your manual for location) and inspect whether the fuse looks blackened or broken.
- If the light comes on but the motor won't run, suspect the foot pedal; try swapping it with a compatible one if you have access to one.
- Check for anything jamming the handwheel, since some machines won't run the motor if the mechanism is physically stuck.
- If nothing works, unplug and let the machine sit for a few minutes in case of an overheating protection cutoff, then try again.
