- Remove the old stem from the slat's mounting hole and snap in a new one matched to size.
- Reattach the slat to its carrier by clipping the stem back into place.
- If a carrier is cracked or has derailed, check that it still rolls smoothly in the headrail track and replace it if damaged.
- Check the bottom weight or connecting chain across all slats and reconnect or replace any missing links.
- Rotate and slide the full blind after repairs to confirm all slats move together evenly.
