What to do
- Test the button yourself and time how long it takes for the notification to arrive.
- Check that ring/press alerts (not just motion alerts) are enabled in the app.
- Improve Wi-Fi signal at the doorbell if it's marked weak in the app.
- Wipe down and inspect the button for dirt, water, or visible sticking.
- For wired doorbells, turn off power at the breaker and check that the wire connections at the button are snug and free of corrosion.
- Try pressing firmly in different spots on the button to see if only part of it registers.
- Replace the doorbell if the button mechanism itself is physically failing.
