- Inspect the strainer basket for tears, thinning mesh, or cracks around the edges, which reduce extraction efficiency.
- Alternate harder and softer produce (like feeding a harder vegetable between soft fruits) to help push pulp through more effectively.
- Confirm your juicer type is suited to what you're juicing; leafy greens and herbs generally need a masticating (slow) juicer rather than a centrifugal one.
- If yield is still poor with fresh, undamaged parts and proper technique, the strainer basket has likely worn out and should be replaced.
