What to do
- Feel the exhaust vents; if the air coming out is very hot, heat is the likely cause.
- Move the console to an open, flat surface with clear space on all vented sides.
- Power off and unplug, then vacuum or compressed-air the vents and intake grilles from outside.
- Check that no cables or objects are blocking airflow around or under the unit.
- Let it rest and cool for 30 minutes before testing again under normal use.
- If it still overheats after cleaning, an internal deep clean and thermal paste replacement may be needed.
- Avoid stacking anything on top of the console or storing it in a closed cabinet.
