Power door locks won't lock or unlock

Symptoms

• Key fob doesn't lock or unlock doors
• One door doesn't lock while others work

Likely causes

3. Check the fuse box for a blown lock-related fuse and replace with the correct amperage.
4. Listen at the problem door for a clicking or humming sound when trying to lock it, which suggests the actuator is trying but failing.
5. Test if the issue is isolated to one door versus all doors to narrow down actuator vs. fuse vs. fob.
6. Open and close the affected door slowly while testing the lock to see if wiring flex affects it.
7. Have a shop check wiring in the door boot (rubber accordion cover) if one door is consistently the problem.
8. Replace the actuator if it's confirmed as the failing part.
