Self-clean cycle won't start or finish

Symptoms

3. If the door won't lock, check that the door latch area is clean and free of food debris that could block it.
4. If the cycle starts but stops with an error code, note the code and check your manual for its meaning.
5. If the door stays locked well after the cycle should finish (allow it to cool fully first, which can take over an hour), avoid forcing it open.
6. For a stuck locked door after cooling, consult your manual for a manual release procedure or call a technician.
